Free Roam: Route 104 North
Free Roam threads exist for two reasons - to give players something to do while waiting for their turn in a storyline thread, and to provide easy XP/new pokemon to catch outside of story threads. Only one player can participate within a Free Roam thread at a time, to make the poor admin's life easier. Free Roam threads are assumed to happen outside of narrative time, and as such do not need to make sense with what is 'currently' happening - if you're in the pokemon center in the main thread but want to play in a Free Roam while waiting, you can, it doesn't matter.
When starting a Free Roam, you declare - either in your post or in the admin's skype - if you intend to Grind or Catch. If you Grind, you cannot grind again until you either catch a new pokemon or post in a plot-relevant thread at least 5 times, and all of your in-party pokemon get enough xp to level up your weakest pokemon once. If you Catch, the admin checks his chart to see which wild pokemon you encounter, at which point a full battle ensues as normal. This is not a guaranteed catch - it is just a chance to.
Description: Leading towards Petalburg Forest, Route 104 North features a quaint bridge over a freswater pond containing a handful of the more common Water types and is a common resting place for Wingull. It also featured a flower shop, that has sadly been abandoned and overgrown in the last two years, offering even more room for pokemon to occupy - although entering it may be dangerous due to its dilapidated state. There's also a patch of tall grass behind it, which has historically been fiercely contested by the native species even before the arrival of new ones, that is virtually guaranteed to be crawling in pokemon.
Trainers: None
Known Pokemon: Seedot, Lotad, Magikarp (Fish), Taillow, Tympole (Fish), Wingull, ???, ???, ???, ???
Items: Berry Trees (Various, unharvested)
Entrances & Exits: Rustboro City (North), Petalburg Forest (South)
